We can help our children understand racism - and empower them to work toward racial equality.
The Center for Youth Development and Intervention stands with our community in support for equality. At CYDI we are committed to building a community structure to provide equal mental health care opportunities to everyone in our community. It’s important that children are informed and feel comfortable having tough conversations about diversity throughout their lives. It’s through education and discussion that we can create change in our next generation.
Below are resources for you to help educate your children and respond to questions or concerns. In addition to articles to help you have a conversation, we’ve also provided a list of books for children that help start a conversation about race and talk about how we as a community can support diversity.
As always, CYDI serves as a resource to our community members. Please reach out to us if you have questions, thoughts, or need help supporting your children during these difficult times.
