Teens and Social Anxiety Study
The Center for Development and Youth Intervention (CYDI) is conducting a study, the purpose of which is to see how teens with social anxiety respond to social stimuli. For this study, we are seeking adolescents between the ages of 12 and 16.
We are currently recruiting adolescents (12-16 years old and free of current learning disorders) who have concerns about social relationships (social anxiety). We require that at least one parent participate in the study with their child. Parents will complete questionnaires and an interview. Involvement in this study will require completion of eye tracking tasks, a computerized task, some questionnaires, an in session interview, and a brief test of your child’s verbal comprehension abilities. Parents will receive one payment, total of $35, after the completion of the study. The study will take place in Tuscaloosa, at the Center for Development and Youth Intervention. The session will take approximately 2.5 hours. |
